01Origin
Ultracrepidarian makes heavy music with room to move. Based in British Columbia's Comox Valley, the three-piece brings together the weight of heavy rock, the bite of metal and the expansive textures of psychedelia. Guitarist and lead vocalist Will Coles, bassist Tyler Sampson and drummer Alec Ferguson build their sound around thick tones, instinctive interplay and a melodic voice at its centre.
Four tracks on Bandcamp, released September 24, 2026.
02Sound
The band's approach is physical and deliberate: riffs hit hard, grooves carry the momentum, and Coles' vocals give the music shape beyond its sheer force. Genre is a starting point, not a set of rules. The trio follows the feel of a song, balancing aggression with atmosphere and leaving space for melody to cut through.
03How they formed
That chemistry began with Coles and Sampson, who were already writing and performing together in an earlier project. When Ferguson moved into the neighbourhood, a mutual neighbour connected them. The three quickly found common ground and took their new collaboration to the stage, building a presence in the local music community.
